Hong Kong
Before the 2007 merger, the railway services in Hong Kong were provided by two separate railway companies, namely the MTR Corporation Limited and the KCR Corporation. There were a number of stations that were served by both companies, and passengers could transfer from the network of one company to that of the other company. These stations were usually known as the interchange stations between the MTR and the KCR. There were totally four of them:
Since the MTRCL took over operation of the KCR network from KCR Corporation on a 50-year lease in 2007, these stations have become, from the point of view of passengers, interchange stations between lines of an integrated network.

United Kingdom
In the United Kingdom the term is joint station, but now has limited usage due to the privatisation of the rail network.
